Sometimes the sky just puts on a show.
Not quietly, not gently — but with full drama. It’s all colour and movement and light spilling out over the land. It’s a mood.
And I didn’t try to quieten my mood when I was painting this. I just followed the energy of it, concentrating on that luminous edge where the storm breaks and light finds a way through.
Something is truly riveting about a sky like this, it’s why I paint them so often I suppose.
The sky reminds me that change and constant and the quicker we embrace it the happier we’ll be.
