There was a drive I used to take often, late in the day, usually tired, always a little quieter inside.
And on this day, just as the road turned back toward home, the sky opened up, just like this, golden, bruised and astonishingly beautiful.
The mix of light and shadow defies language or explanation. It is a scene that has stayed with me and I imagine that you too have beheld something similar?
