The great poets have always found ways to describe the clouds and the sky. Landscapes and flowers. Love and loss, light and dark and everything else in between in beautiful and thought provoking ways. They have been able to rearrange ordinary words in a way that astonishes and moves and transcends simple description. By ordering metaphor, meter and simple language they help us make sense of the world around us and perhaps provide comfort and help us dream.
I am not a poet, but a palette of paint and colour set me free of the ties that bind me to the ordinary. I hope you agree.
