February. It was a cold and foggy day in Venice, the kind of day that made the city seem haunted as if the spirits of the past were lingering in the mist. As we walked along the canals, we couldn't shake the feeling that we were being watched. Fog clung to the ancient buildings, twisting and turning in a way that seemed almost supernatural.
And then we heard it – a faint whisper, like a voice on the breeze. We turned, but there was no one there. We continued on, our footsteps echoing on the damp stone streets. The fog grew thicker, making it difficult to see more than a few feet in front of us. And then, out of nowhere, we saw them – shadows moving through the mist, like ghosts from another time.
